Makiko Sano is a professional sushi chef, award-winning author, and the founder of Suzu Limited. Born in Tokyo and raised in a family where communal dining was a daily ritual, she moved to London in 1995 and transformed her heritage into a thriving career. Makiko spent two years training in a traditional fishmonger to master the art of sashimi before opening her own restaurant. She has served as a personal chef to Hollywood stars and royalty alike, yet remains most passionate about teaching the simplicity of Japanese home cooking to everyday enthusiasts.
